Eden Video Editor

A video editor that runs in your web browser, on computers and phones. Cut and trim clips, add music, voice-overs, titles, transitions, filters and effects, then export your video as an MP4. Your videos stay on your device — nothing is uploaded.

Making a video

  1. Add your media. Drop videos, photos and music onto the editor, or press Import in the Media panel. On a phone, tap + on the timeline.
  2. Put it on the timeline. Drag clips down to the timeline, or press the + on a clip. Drag clips to move them, drag their edges to trim them, and press Ctrl+B (⌘B on a Mac) to split at the playhead.
  3. Make it yours. Add titles, transitions, filters and effects from the panels on the left. Select a clip to change its size, position, colour, speed and volume in the Inspector on the right.
  4. Export. Press Export, choose a size and quality, and download your MP4.

Questions

Is it free? Is there a watermark?

Yes, it’s free, and the videos you export have no watermark.

Are my videos uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your browser. Your media and projects are saved on this device so you can carry on later; clear them by deleting the project.

Which files can I use?

Videos (MP4, MOV, WEBM, MKV), music and sound (MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, FLAC) and pictures (JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF). Very new formats like some iPhone HEVC videos may need an up-to-date browser.

How do I make a vertical video for TikTok, Reels or Shorts?

Start a 9:16 project, or change the shape in the project settings. Use a clip’s Transform settings to position and zoom it.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. On a phone the editor switches to a touch layout: swipe the timeline, tap a clip to edit it, and pinch to zoom.

Why does exporting take a while?

Your device draws and encodes every frame. Exporting usually takes less time than the video lasts on a computer, a bit longer on a phone. Keep the page open until it finishes.

Can I work on a project later?

Yes. Projects save automatically on this device. Open the editor again and pick it from “Your projects”.
