MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG and more — one or many.

  2. Choose how small

Balanced is right for most music; Smallest with Mono is ideal for speech.

  3. Compress and download

Each file shows how much smaller it got. Download one by one or all in a ZIP.

Questions

Is it really free, with no sign-up and no watermark?

Yes, completely. There's no sign-up, no login, no watermark and no daily limit: just open the page and start. It works in your browser on any computer, phone or tablet with nothing to install, and your files are never uploaded — everything happens on your device.

How do I make an MP3 smaller?

Choose the MP3 and pick Small or Smallest. A 128 kbps MP3 is roughly 1 MB per minute; Small makes it about 0.7 MB, and Smallest with Mono about 0.25 MB.

Will it sound worse?

Balanced is hard to tell apart from the original on phones and earbuds. Smallest is meant for voice. If a file can't get smaller, the original is kept as it was.

Why does a WAV get so much smaller?

WAV isn't compressed at all, so turning it into an MP3, M4A or OGG usually makes it 8 to 12 times smaller.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser, on your device.
