Audio Converter

Change any sound file to MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, FLAC or an iPhone ringtone — one file or many at once.

How to convert audio files

  1. Choose your files

MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG, AAC, AIFF, WMA — or a video, to get its sound. As many as you like.

  2. Pick the new format

MP3 plays everywhere, M4A suits Apple devices, WAV and FLAC keep every detail.

  3. Convert and download

Download each file, or all of them in one ZIP. Song titles, artists and covers are kept.

Questions

Is it really free, with no sign-up and no watermark?

Yes, completely. There's no sign-up, no login, no watermark and no daily limit: just open the page and start. It works in your browser on any computer, phone or tablet with nothing to install, and your files are never uploaded — everything happens on your device.

How do I convert WAV to MP3?

Choose the WAV file, keep MP3 selected and press Convert. High (192 kbps) sounds the same as the WAV for almost everyone and is about a seventh of the size.

Does converting lower the quality?

Converting to MP3, M4A or OGG compresses the sound; at High or Best quality the difference is very hard to hear. WAV and FLAC are lossless. Converting a small MP3 into WAV won't bring back detail that was already lost.

Are the song title, artist and cover kept?

Yes — they're copied into the new file whenever the new format can hold them (MP3, M4A, OGG, FLAC).

Can I make an iPhone ringtone?

Choose Ringtone. You get an M4R file of up to 40 seconds — for the part you want, cut the song first in the Audio Editor.

Are my files uploaded?

No. They're converted inside your browser and never leave your device.
