How to resize a picture

Tap "Choose picture" or drag it onto the page. You can add more than one to resize several at once.
- Pick a size
Type exact pixels, drag the percent slider, tap a ready-made size for somewhere like Instagram or YouTube, or ask for a size under a certain number of KB.
- Download
Tap "Resize picture", then download it — or, with several pictures, download them all at once as a ZIP.
Questions
How do I make a picture smaller in KB, for a form that won't accept big files?
Open the "File size" tab, choose how small it needs to be (for example, under 200 KB), and tap "Resize picture". It lowers the quality, and shrinks the pixel size too if it needs to, until it fits — then tells you the size it actually reached.
Will resizing make my picture blurry?
Making a picture smaller rarely looks blurry. Making it much bigger than the original can, since there's no extra detail to add — turn on "Don't make pictures bigger than the original" under "More options" to avoid that automatically. Saving as JPG, WEBP or AVIF at a low quality can also blur or blotch fine detail; keep the quality slider high if that matters.
What size picture does Instagram want?
Square posts are 1080 × 1080 pixels, portrait posts are 1080 × 1350, and Stories and Reels are 1080 × 1920. Pick any of these under "Ready-made sizes".
What size is a passport photo?
Most passport photos are 2 × 2 inches, which is 600 × 600 pixels at 300 dpi — the "Passport photo" option under "Ready-made sizes" sets this for you. Check your country's exact rules before printing, since a few differ.
My picture and the size I chose are a different shape. What happens?
You'll be asked how to handle it: "Fit inside" keeps the whole picture and adds a border to fill the gap, "Fill and crop" fills the whole space and trims the edges, and "Stretch" squeezes it to fit exactly (which can look squashed). You can see a live preview before deciding.
Can I resize more than one picture at once?
Yes. Add as many pictures as you like, choose one size, and tap "Resize picture". Each one gets its own download button, and "Download all (ZIP)" saves them all together.
Does resizing keep the photo's date, camera and location details?
Not by default. Turn on "Keep photo details" under "More options" if you want to keep them — most people saving a picture to share online prefer to leave this off.
Why is my picture's shape locked?
"Lock proportions" is on by default so typing a width fills in a matching height automatically, keeping the picture from looking stretched. Turn it off if you want to set width and height independently.
