Yes, completely. There's no sign-up, no login, no watermark and no daily limit: just open the page and start. It works in your browser on any computer, phone or tablet with nothing to install, and your files are never uploaded — everything happens on your device.
How do I make a picture's background transparent?
Choose the photo and wait a moment: the background is removed automatically. Keep "See-through" selected and press Download PNG — PNG keeps the transparency.
Is it really free, with no watermark?
Yes, and in full resolution. The AI (open models: BiRefNet, MIT licence, and U²-Net, Apache licence) runs in your browser, so there's no server cost to pass on.
Why does the first photo take longer?
The first time, the AI itself is downloaded (about 115 MB on computers with a modern graphics card, 175 MB otherwise) and kept on your device. After that each photo takes a few seconds — longer on phones and older computers.
Can I change the background to white?
Yes — choose Colour and press the white swatch (or pick any colour), then download as JPG or PNG. Great for product photos and ID pictures.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. It's processed on your own device and never leaves it.
