• You may use the tools for personal and work tasks.
• Only use files you have the right to use, and don’t use the tools to break the law or trick people.
• We work hard to make the tools reliable, but they come without any guarantee. Always keep a copy of your original files.

Agreeing to these terms

These terms apply to edentools.org and every tool on it, which are run by Eden Tools (“we”, “us”). By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the website. Our privacy policy explains how we handle information.

If you use Eden Tools for a company or organisation, you agree to these terms on its behalf.

What Eden Tools is

Eden Tools is a collection of online tools that run in your web browser. You can use them for personal tasks and for work. The tools do their work on your own device, so the results depend partly on your device and browser. A few features may not be available in older browsers.

Your files

• They stay yours. We don’t claim any ownership of the files you open or create with the tools.
• You need the right to use them. You are responsible for making sure you’re allowed to open, change, convert and share the files you use. For example, you need permission to edit someone else’s photos, music, videos or documents.
• Check your results. You are responsible for checking the files the tools make before you rely on them, and for keeping a copy of your original files.
• Save what you need. Notes and settings are saved in your browser. They can be lost if your browser’s data is cleared, so download anything important.

Things you must not do

Please use Eden Tools fairly. You must not:

• use the tools for anything illegal, or to infringe anyone’s copyright, privacy or other rights;
• use the tools to forge documents or signatures, or to mislead or defraud anyone;
• try to break, overload or disrupt the website, or get around its security;
• use automated programs to download or copy large parts of the website;
• copy the website, or pretend to be Eden Tools, in a way that could confuse people.

Our name and content

The Eden Tools name and logo, and the design, text and pictures on this website, belong to Eden Tools. You may link to any page on the website and share it with others. Please don’t use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you or your product.

Open-source software

Some parts of the tools are built with open-source software and resources made by other people, such as software for reading PDF files, handling audio and video, and converting picture formats, as well as the icons and the Sora font. These parts remain under their own licenses, and nothing in these terms limits the rights those licenses give you.

No warranty

We work hard to make the tools accurate and reliable, but we can’t promise they will always work perfectly. The website and the tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. This includes any warranty that they are fit for a particular purpose, free of errors, always available, or that the results will meet your needs.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Eden Tools will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, files, profits or business, that comes from using or not being able to use the website or the tools. This applies even if we were told such a loss was possible.

Where we can be held liable, our total liability to you for all claims is limited to 50 US dollars. Some countries don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law that can’t be changed by an agreement.

Changes

We may change, add or remove tools and features at any time. We may also update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using the website after a change, you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where Eden Tools is based, without regard to its rules on conflicts of law. Any disputes will be handled by the courts there, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts. If you live in a country with consumer protection laws, you keep the protections those laws give you.

General

If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a part of these terms straight away, we can still enforce it later. These terms, together with our privacy policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about using Eden Tools.
