How to turn a video into an MP3

Questions
Can I get the music out of a video I downloaded from YouTube?
Yes — once the video file is already on your device, choose it here like any other video and Eden Tools will pull out the sound. This tool only works with files you already have; it doesn't download anything from a website.
Which quality should I choose?
"High" (192 kbps) sounds very close to the original for almost everything and is a sensible default. Choose "Good" (128 kbps) for speech, podcasts or when you want a smaller file, and "Best" (320 kbps) for music where you want every detail kept.
Can I use this to make a ringtone?
Yes. Open "More options", drag the two handles under the waveform (or type exact times) to the part you want, and convert. Many phones want a short M4A file for ringtones — you can pick that as the output format too.
Will there be a watermark?
No. The downloaded file only has the sound from your video. If you'd like a picture to show while it plays, add one under "Song info" → "Cover picture".
What if my video has no sound?
You'll see a message saying there's no sound to pull out. Some screen recordings and silent clips genuinely have no audio track.
Can I convert several files at once?
Yes. Choose (or drag in) more than one file and you'll get a list with its own progress for each one, then a button to download everything at once as a ZIP, or each file on its own.
What's the difference between the formats?
MP3 plays almost everywhere and is the usual choice. M4A (AAC) is what iPhones and Apple software prefer. WAV keeps the sound exactly as it was decoded, with no quality loss, but makes a bigger file. OGG (Opus) gives very good quality at a small size and is well supported on Android and in browsers.
