Questions
Is it really free, with no sign-up and no watermark?
Yes, completely. There's no sign-up, no login, no watermark and no daily limit: just open the page and start. It works in your browser on any computer, phone or tablet with nothing to install, and your files are never uploaded. Everything happens on your device.
How do I find the HEX code of a colour on my screen?
Press "Pick from the screen" and click anywhere, even outside the browser. (This works in Chrome and Edge on computers; elsewhere, take a screenshot and use "Pick from a photo".)
How do I convert HEX to RGB?
Type or paste the HEX code (like #4F46E5) into the HEX box. The RGB, HSL, HSV and CMYK values appear straight away. It works the other way round too.
What do AA and AAA mean?
They're the accessibility levels of the WCAG guidelines. Text needs a contrast of at least 4.5:1 with its background for AA and 7:1 for AAA; large text needs 3:1.
Is the CMYK value exact for printing?
It's the standard conversion from screen colours. Printers use their own colour profiles, so for important print work, check the colour with your printer.
